Umpiring Scheduling On-Line
Volunteering Commitment Little League depends on adult volunteers. This year,
every game must have at least one adult umpire. All adult umpires in South Mission Viejo are volunteers.
- Every umpire must have a volunteer application on file with the league. Please fill out this form and turn it in to the Chief Umpire.
- Training is required to umpire higher division games. Check out the District 68 web site for training opportunities.
- Every team must send the manager and at least one other parent to the District 68 rules clinic offered at various times in last January and February.
Umpire Rating Levels This year, South Mission Viejo has created Rating levels
to ensure that umpires officiate at a level for which they have experience and training. Your ability to select games will
be restricted to your umpire level. If you feel you are rating at the incorrect level, please contact the Chief Umpire

Junior Umpires Junior Umpires are a very important part of Little League.
It teaches young players leadership skills and service to community.
- You must be at least playing age of 11. Born on or before 4/30/99.
- You must have attended a training class. The class is being offered Sunday, February 7, 9am to noon at North Mission
Viejo Little League.
- Junior umpires earn $10 per game payable at the end of the season. They also receive a snack (equivalent to a team
ticket) after the game they umpire.
Beginning this year, Little League requires that there be at least one adult
umpire per game. With this in mind, when selecting games, junior umpires must follow the following guidlines.
- Never sign up for a game if the other umpire is a junior umpire.
- Junior umpires may not sign up for Single A Bases unless the Plate umpire is an adult.
- Your level is restricted based on your experience and age by the Chief Umpire. If you think you are ready to move
up to a higher division, please contact the Chief Umpire
